周 村 区 情 简 介

    周村位于山东省中部，系淄博市辖区之一，是鲁中工商重镇，被誉为“金周村”、“旱码头”，1904年被清政府辟为对外开放的商埠，2004年被授予“中国纺织产业基地”称号。

    周村工商业基础雄厚，目前已形成了以丝绸、纺织为主体，化工、建材、机械、电子等门类比较齐全的工业格局。纺织业仅牛仔布年生产能力即达1.2亿米。兰雁集团是目前国内乃至亚洲最大的牛仔布和牛仔服装生产厂家之一。山东宏信化工股份有限公司苯酐生产规模居国内第一位、亚洲第二位。齐鲁石化催化剂厂为中国最大的炼油催化剂生产和科研开发基地。山东三金玻璃机械集团有限公司是国内最大的玻璃瓶罐成型生产线开发生产基地，玻璃机械产品国内市场占有率80%以上。作为国内重要的工业基地，在纺织、化工、机械、电子等工业领域拥有丰富及熟练的劳动力资源， 其中各类专业技术人员约5万余人，劳动力成本较低。

    周村区第三产业发展迅速。目前全区拥有纺织服装、沙发家具、沙发材料、不锈钢、轻钢建材等专业市场，年市场交易额逾100亿元。

Brief Introduction of Zhoucun District

    Zhoucun is situated in the central area of Shandong Province and one of the jurisdictional districts of Zibo City. Zhoucun, which was named as “Golden Zhoucun” and “Overland Port” for its geographical advantages, is the important district of Shandong Province. In 1904 Zhoucun was opened up as commercial port by Qing dynasty government. In 2004 Zhoucun was given the title of “Textile industry base of China”.

    Zhoucun has the tremendous base of industry and commerce. At present some strong enterprise groups composed mainly by silk and textile industry have been formed, such as chemicals, building materials, machinery and electronic industry. The annual output of denim cloth is about 120,000,000 meters in Zhoucun. Lanyan group, which is one of the biggest enterprises, produced denim cloth in China and in Asia. The bonze-anhydride production of Shandong Hongxin Chemical Industry Co. Ltd. takes the first place among the same trade at home and the second place in Asia. Catalyst factory of Qilu Petrochemical is the largest production and development base of oil refinery catalyst. Shandong Sanjin Glass Machinery Co., Ltd. is the largest development and production base of glass bottle forming line, and its production output of glass bottle takes about 80% of the domestic market. As the domestic important industrial base, Zhoucun has abundant labor resources in industrial field, such as textile industry, chemical industry, mechanical industry, electronics industry. The number of professional person is about 50000. The average wage is lower than other areas.
